Logan Graduate and current MIT student, Billy Woltz has received one of the most prestigious international fellowship awards in the world. He has been named a Rhodes Scholar. Woltz will jump the pond this spring to continue his studies at Oxford, pursuing a degrees in philosophy, politics, and economics. Congratulations Billy!

Central Elementary 4th grade classes worked through the Scientific Method as they observed cut apples in different types of liquid; vinegar, lemon juice, water, baking soda/water, pineapple juice and milk.
On Monday we will experience an amazing scientific event – A Solar Eclipse. We understand the opportunity our students have to witness this event. Our teachers have been educating our students on the dangers of looking up at the sun during the eclipse. The solar eclipse is scheduled to arrive in our area during dismissal time. Dear Parents of 11th grade students: The Ohio Department of Health has made changes to the Ohio Immunization Law requiring all children entering 12th grade to have one or two doses of meningococcal vaccine; depending on when they received their first dose. This requirement went into effect prior to the 2016/17 school year. Meningococcal vaccine is now State Mandated for preteens at ages 11 or 12 years , with a booster needed between 16-18 years. This year’s Scholars Night is scheduled for April 25th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Logan High School Theatre. Scholars Night is an academic tradition of which everyone can be proud.
The academic boosters for the Logan-Hocking School District Presents the 5th Annual ACE Color Ride on Saturday, October 12th. Come enjoy the ride & the Hocking Hills' Fall colors, while supporting students. The ride is 100 miles through the Hocking Hills region, either by motorcycle or car. Registration begins at 10am at the Logan High School, which is at 14470 State Route 328, Logan, OH 43138. First riders out begin at 10am, with the last rides leaving at noon. Lunch begins in the LHS cafeteria at 11:30am.
Saturday, October 8th, ACE will be having it's annual Color Ride. Registration and ride will begin at 10 am at Logan High School. Cost is $20 for driver and $10 for passenger.
